Jesień w Maastricht / Autumn in Maastricht

One of the newsletters I receive from Szkoła Patchworku mentioned an Open European Quilt Championships in Maastricht. The topic was People and it just happened that I had the perfect entry:

Wysłałam zgłoszenie , zostałam zaproszona, no i  30 listopada wyruszyłam w podróż do Holandii.
Impreza odbywała się na terenie Maastricht Exhibiton and Conference Centre i prezentowała , obok nagrodzonych prac , kilkanaście wystaw indywidualnych i grupowych. Oto program:
I sent my application, I got invited and on 30th of October I went to Netherlands.Championships took place in Maastricht Exhibition and Conference Centre. Other than the winning work there were a couple individual and group exhibits. Here's the programme:

Najbardziej przypadła mi do gustu wystawa holenderki Dineke Ugen .
I think I liked Dineke Ugen's works the most.

As it is with such events you could buy a lot of new materials and learn a thing or two.Below you can see the winning exhibits. I have to admit I don't completely agree with the jury,

The Championship wasn't really international, despite the name. It mostly had works from Germany, Netherlands and Israel. There were a few from France, Belgium, Turkey, Sweden, two from England, Finland, Australia and Switzerland and one from Italy, Japan, Latvia, Iceland, US and Poland.

Poniżej mały reportaż z wystawy:
Below a small, subjective report from the exhibition:
